I am not a ballroom dancer….however, I love me a good spray tan! “Just a healthy glow” I say as she sets up her little pop up tent in my guest room. That’s right, my spray tan girl makes house calls! She uses organic Natural Glow products used by the Victoria Secret models and I look about 5-10 lbs lighter when she is done. Be sure to exfoliate, do not have damp skin or lotion prior to getting sprayed and use Ocean Potion or Jergens Daily Glow to extend the life of your tan. Spray at least one day before a special event…not the day of! And please, don’t spray and immediately try clothes on at your favorite local boutique!

Bandeau or Ban-don’t?

So many ladies ask me how to wear a bandeau top, with what, and if they are “too old” for this look. This is a perfectly acceptable way to layer under a tank to avoid bra lines. You won’t look too young unless you wear a super low cut tank that shows a lot of skin and the entire bandeau is extremely noticeable. That is a very sexy look for summer so if you can pull it off, by all means go for it. Otherwise, just layer it under a regular (if not a bit drapey) tank so the sides are mostly what will show. Since it is intentional to show this as opposed to a bra, have fun with it and wear a cool, contrasting color or a print. No need to go matchy-matchy. If you need more support and coverage, wear a nice strapless bra and layer the bandeau over it.

My mind likes to wander…a lot…and it’s usually to someone cool I would love to be, what I would wear or somewhere I want to go. My who, what, wear posts are about a chic girl doing something cool and what she would be wearing. Its fun…try it!

Who: Urban girl on the weekend

What: Going to the flea markets around New York ~ Union Square ~ East Villiage ~ Soho for lunch at the Antique Garage (look it up ~ one of my fave places to eat for lunch). It is literally a garage transformed with eclectic antique decor, cool chandeliers and a ladylike divan pulled out on the curb once they pull the “garage” door up and open for the day. The food is mid-eastern and the hummus, salads and martinis are to die for!

Wear: cut offs, a graphic tee, leather or denim jacket, scarf, combat boots, and a cool cross body bag.
